Prayer and Panad

Once a month, the men of Penrallt have a chance to meet together to pray for one another. The meeting usually takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:30am in the Twrgwyn Room at Penrallt. It lasts for about 45 minutes. After we have prayed, we go across the road for a cup of coffee.

The next Prayer & Panad meeting will be on Wednesday 29th February.

Alpha Lite

We have held an Alpha course in Penrallt every autumn for the last 10 years or so. By popular demand, we now run a second course each year, starting in late January. This course is identical to the autumn course except that there are usually fewer guests and light refreshments are served instead of a full meal each week, hence it is referred to as Alpha-lite.

This year we are combining the start of Alpha-lite with a reunion for those on the last Alpha course. This will take place on Tuesday 24th January at 7pm in Canolfan Penrallt (the hall at the back of the church) and will give you a chance to taste and see what Alpha is all about. A free buffet will be provided and the evening is expected to finish around 9:30pm. If possible, please let us know if you are planning to come, although you are welcome to just turn up on the night.

The Alpha-lite course itself will begin the following week and will run on Tuesday evenings for about 10 weeks. There is no commitment to join the course after coming to the taster session, although we hope you will want to.

Bontnewydd

On (usually) the first Sunday afternoon of each month, a small team from Penrallt goes over to the nursing home at Bontnewydd, near Caernarfon, to lead a short service for the residents, starting at 2:15pm. You are very welcome to join us. We are particularly in need of musicians and Welsh speakers.

The next service at Bontnewydd is due to take place on Sunday 5th February. Please check with the church office to confirm that it is happening; also contact the office if you would like more information about the service.

A Prayer Blanket for Jesus

Sunday December 18th, 5:00 to 8:00pm.

An alternative Christmas experience for anyone tired of the Christmas stress. Bring some strips of cloth you can cut into 2cm strips (we can provide the cloth if you have none), write a prayer on each and join us in weaving a blanket for Jesus on our 2 metre loom. Then wander around the prayer stations at your own speed before joining us for mince pies in the hall. Come any time between 5 and 8pm and capture the true beauty of Christmas.
