"I was born in Splott, but I'm destined for eternity"

Revd. Peter Cousins is the minister at Penrallt since 1998. Previously he spent twenty years in Brazil as a church planter and theological educator. He is married to Susan and they have two grown-up children.

The Pastoral Assistant

Geoff Birch, Pastoral Assistant

Revd. Geoffrey Birch recently retired to North Wales from his job as a Regional Minister in the West of England Baptist Association. A long-time friend of Penrallt, Geoff is now bringing his considerable pastoral experience to support Peter in the pastoral and preaching responsibilities.

The Administrator

Magnus Forrester-Barker, church administrator

Magnus Forrester-Barker came to Bangor in 1999 to do a PhD in mathematics, fell in love with the area and has remained here ever since. He has been working part-time as Penrallt's administrator (and website maintainer) since the creation of the post in September 2005, and also has another part-time admin job and plays several instruments in two local bands (as well as the Penrallt music group).

The Gap Year Youth Worker

Tim Phipps, Gap Year Worker 2008-2009

In recent years, Penrallt's youth work has grown to the point that we now take on a Gap Year worker to help with youth activities (although they also get involved with other aspects of church life). This is a one-year voluntary position, supported by Careforce.

Our Gap Year worker in 2008-09 is Tim Phipps, a recent Bangor University graduate, originally from Southampton.
